The interactive cinema experience takes travelers on a whistlestop fly over Indonesia with a staggering degree of visual accuracy.

The scenes are displayed in 8K resolution and guests observe the landscape from floating seats that move to mimic the passage of the plane.

Travelers are flown over and across beautiful Indonesian destinations such as Raja Ampat, Mount Bromo, Lake Kelimutu, Bali’s own Tanah Lot, Borobudur Temple, and many more.

The Head of Marketing at Trans Studio Bali, Juanito Alfa, reported, “Apart from nature, various Indonesian cultures such as customs and regional dances are also introduced at Flying Over Indonesia.”

“Visitors can also explore the beauty of the underwater world, swim with dolphins, and enter the Indonesian rainforest. While flying, there will be splashing water and wind effects so the emotions that arise are even more extraordinary, some even cry with emotion.”

Alfa noted that the Flying Over Indonesia experience was created to help showcase more of Indonesia to tourists and give local residents a better look at their great nation.

He explained, “Bali, which has become the world’s favorite, will always be busy with foreign tourists. However, sometimes foreign tourists only know Bali and are still not familiar with Indonesia’s natural riches.”

“There are many beautiful things about Indonesia that we have to introduce to them. That’s why we want to introduce Indonesia in an extraordinary way through this exclusive experience.”

The Flying Over Indonesia experience is part of the Trans Studio Bali, which can be found in the Trans Studio Mall in Denpasar.

For visitors not wishing to dive into the magical world of Trans Studio (why not?! It’s great!), it is possible to buy a ticket just for the Flying Over Indonesian experience.

It’s the perfect rainy day activity this monsoon season. Bad weather is set to stay hanging over Bali for the rest of the week.

Tickets for foreign tourists cost IDR 180,000 and can be bought on the day or in advance online. 

The Flying Over Indonesia experience may just give Bali lovers the boost of inspiration they need to add-on extra travel destinations to their next vacation on the island.

The Indonesian Tourism Board wants to promote more ‘Bali add-on destinations’ for Bali lovers to help spread tourism more evenly around the country. 

Add-on destinations range from Lake Top in North Sumatra to Labuan Bajo, which is the gateway to the Komodo Islands National Park.

But as national leaders want to see tourism promoted across the country, Balinese leaders simply want to see tourists experience more areas of the island itself. 

Local leaders feel that tourism is too heavily concentrated in the south.

Many would say this is true; the biggest resorts of Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, and Canggu all sit along the southern coast, and there is increasing interest in resorts along the Bukit Peninsula like Uluwatu and Ungasan. 

What is clear is that Bali and Indonesia, more broadly, are travel destinations that leave tourists spellbound and coming back for more.

This is what makes travel in Bali so exciting; there is always something new to discover, which, for an island that is so steeped in ancient culture and tradition, is pretty impressive indeed.
