Joyland Festival has announced the location for its 2023 festival. The 3-day event will be held on Peninsula Island, The Nusa Dua. Organizers have kept the location under wraps until this week. With more headliners to be announced soon, Joyland Festival 2023 is set to be an extravaganza.
Joyland Festival will be held on the stunning 17-19th March 2023 on Peninsula Island, The Nusa Dua. The area is synonymous with some of the island’s most luxurious hotels and recently played a huge role in Bali’s hosting of the G20 Summit in November 2022. The festival organizers, Plainsong Live, are based in Jakarta and are bringing the festival to Bali after the success of last year’s event in Jakarta.
Only a few headline acts have been announced so far. Last week organizers announced that Crumb, the American psychedelic rock band, will headline the event. The Brooklyn-based rock stars are doing a world tour this year, and Joyland Festival is their only stop-off in Asia.
In November, organizers released the name of the first big headline act for the 2023 festival. Grammy award-winning rock-pop band Phoenix will grace the stage on Peninsula Island in mid-March. The band, from France, have over 4.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and is best known for their hits 1902, Tonight, and Lisztomania.
Three-day passes are in the second round of pre-sale, with tickets starting at IDR 488,00 (USD 32) and are available to buy from the Joyland Festival and Plainsong Live websites. The minds behind Joyland Festival are clear in their commitment to creating world-class events. Organizers say, “Our mission is to provide high-quality artists an extensive platform to showcase their creative expressions. Through our festivals and concerts, we are committed to presenting well-curated acts on our stages and creating memorable experiences for both artists and audiences alike.”

Festival-goers can expect to see international and Indonesian artists at Joyland Festival this March. The event also serves as a platform for emerging artists in the country. Organizers say, “We take pride in dancing to our own beat, dedicated to giving talented, and often less discovered, artists a louder voice. We are here to set new standards and to strive for a culture where quality precedes all else”.
