The Secretary of the Bali Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Made Rentin, confirmed that Bali’s partial lockdown status was lowered to level 2 for the next two weeks.

“Following the Ministry of Home Affairs’s Instruction Number 18/2022, we will officially lower Bali’s partial lockdown status from level 3 to level 2, from Tuesday (22/3) to April 4,” Rentin said on Tuesday.

Rentin explained that the number of new Covid-positive cases in Bali has become significantly lower than the recovery rate.

“We only had 76 new Covid-19 patients in the last 5 days, while 108 patients recovered over the same period. We only logged 1 death as of today,” Rentin added.

Rentin admitted that this achievement resulted from the booster vaccination program that was distributed rapidly in all Bali regions.

Per our data as of March 21, 43.20 percent of Bali’s total population has received the Covid-19 vaccine booster. Denpasar, Tabanan, and Gianyar have distributed the booster shot to over 50 percent of their residents while the other regions have distributed the booster to at least 30 percent of their residents,” Rentin concluded.

Many countries have beaten Covid numbers….by ignoring the case count. I Thailand the case numbers don’t matter anymore. They are reporting 25K per day while admitting that tests show approx 70k is more accurate,,,,it’s magic!! Canada is doing the same, people are still dying but don’t count because they die of “complications” but that’s not strictly Covid . Words change reality. Magic !!

@Wayan Bo, because Germany has the lowest number of people with two shots in Europe, not to mention how few people have a booster.... almost all other countries in Europe have stopped almost all covid regulations... but they also have a much higher percentage of people that have their 3rd booster shot...many infections yes, but hardly no one dying.... now use your brains...

The people of Bali realize these shots are ineffective; by now the also realize their government officials are too. Stop all mandates and let the good people of Bali start to rebuild their lives.

@Michael, keep your misinformation about vaccines elsewhere.

The people of Bali are doing just fine. Denpasar is busy as ever was before the pandemic. No one is starving, no homelessness or beggars.

The difference between you and the Indonesians including expats who follow science have a better understanding that vaccines will help to lessen hospitalization and death.
