The Head of the Mengwi Police Department, Kompol Nyoman Darsana, confirmed that his personnel had stopped a private party hosted by Russian nationals in Pererenan, Mengwi on Wednesday evening (9/2).

The island was on partial lockdown level 3 when the police received a report about the party at 11:35 pm.

“We received a report from a resident who was disturbed by the loud music from the villa. When we arrived, we found out that it was actually a private party,” Kompol Darsana said on Thursday (10/2).

Nine Russian nationals were present at the party. The police politely asked them to stop their activity and comply with government regulations. They left without giving any sanction.

“The party disturbed the local residents and violated the public order. It’s still okay to engage in social activities as long as they are in compliance with the protocols and in harmony with the other residents,” Kompol Darsana concluded.

These don’t care about other peoples safety at all and sadly there is no responsible authority in Bali to control these people. They should have been deported as a warning to anyone who behaved like this.

So many Aussies won't still come to Bali until quarantine is reduced, can be done at hotel where you're staying and the Visa cost is reduced to what it used to be before they stopped it

Last night the Black Mamba nightclub located in a residential spot here in Sanur was again operating until early morning (5am) with insane loud trance music all night shaking our villa. Despite numerous complaints; the authorities never seem to get around putting a stop to the noise disturbance caused by this nightclub. Oh I forgot, the nightclub is not run by expats...

@Exp, exactly. This island is a noisy corrupt lawless joke.

@Exp, have you read the article? It's a private party at someone's home. It's disturbing the peace in the residential neighborhood. It has nothing to do with expats. Furthermore during Covid why would anyone party, isn't Bali back on level 3?

Anyone would call the police if a next door neighbor is having a loud party through the wee hours of the morning.

@Exp, Night club is set for the business, different than residential.

Why don't you apply these rules to your own people??? Nightclubs, bars, etc banging loud music all nights during weekends, disturbing everyone around. Nobody cares, to a point where areas like Kuta and Seminyak have gone empty from tourists since it's impossible to stay there. All rules for the foreigners but not for me. Corrupt hypocrites.

@Eid, nightclubs are not in residential neighborhoods. There are zoning involved. Your reasoning is that foreigners are always to be blamed for anything. Unfortunately these happened to be Russians that disturbed the peace in a residential neighborhood. There you have it...

"The island was on partial lockdown level 3 when the police received a report about the party at 11:35 pm." Which part of it don't you get??
