Inmate Relocated To Isolation For Controlling Illegal Business From Bali Prison

An inmate of the Kerobokan Prison with the initials AD has been relocated to an isolation cell after committing fraud from behind the bars.

The Warden of the Kerobokan Prison Class IIA, Fikri Jaya Soebing confirmed that AD has been proven guilty for committing fraud from the prison, and managed to somehow earn one hundred thousand dollars from his illegal business.” AD was relocated to an isolation cell for six days as a punishment for committing crimes during his time in our prison.” Soebing said on Tuesday (2/11).

Soebing explained that AD had scammed many people by creating fake online cell phone stores on Instagram, and then using his fake ID cards to assure his victims. “From the hundred thousand dollars that he earned from his fake cell phone stores called ‘PS Store’ and ‘Putra Siregar’, the police were only able to seize around USD 25,245 (IDR 360 million) from AD.” Soebing added.

AD also admitted that he had been cooperating with another two suspects with initials JB and SR who helped him collect the money from outside of the prison. The investigation regarding this case began when one of AD’s victims filed a report to the police as he hadn’t received the cellphone that he ordered from the suspect despite completing his payment on July 11st 2021.

The suspects will potentially face six years of imprisonment as well as AD has lost some of his rights as an inmate such as his assimilation and remission rights.
