Government Allows International Visitors To Travel Outside Appointed Green Zone Areas In Bali

Officials from the Bali Tourism Agency have announced that international visitors are allowed to travel outside the three appointed green zone areas in Bali.

After recently reopening the international travel corridor for international visitors from 19 countries to revive Bali’s economic crisis, The Head of Bali’s Tourism Agency, Putu Astawa confirmed that visitors who test negative from Covid-19 will gain access to other areas of the island, outside the three appointed green zone areas such as Nusa Dua, Sanur and Ubud.

This permission was granted after considering all the safety regulations that have been implemented alongside strict international border entry requirements for travelers. “Each traveler is required to pass several screening processes such as showing proof of a Covid-19 vaccination and testing negative with a PCR test after undergoing 5 days of quarantine. So it should be enough to assure that they’re free from Covid-19 during their vacation.” Astawa said on Tuesday (12/10).

Meanwhile the government officials have installed thousands of PeduliLindungi QR codes at the majority of tourism areas across the island. Tourism areas such as tourist attractions, hotels, shopping malls and cafes to prevent those places from facing maximum capacity and creating crowds while operating. “From a total of 10,000 PeduliLindungi QR codes that we targeted to install in all the tourism areas, 7,000 of them have already been installed. So visitors can utilize the PeduliLindungi tracing app before entering those places in the near future.” Astawa concluded.

Indonesia goverment must totally drop off the 5 days quarantine and covid19 health insurance policy. Many other countries now have no such policy to welcome foreign visitors provided they are fully vaccinated and have proof of negative PCR test.

These entry restrictions may keep backpackers from coming to Bali but it will also keep the tourist they want from visiting also. Retired travelers with time and money might be the only visitors that would go.
