A Woman Was Saved After Attempted Suicide

A woman with initials NWD from Lokasari village, Sidemen has been saved by her family after attempting to commit suicide inside her home.

The Head of the Sidemen Police Department, AKP Merta Karyana confirmed that NWD suffered serious injuries to her abdomen and her left arm from the incident that occurred on Wednesday (12/5). “The victim attempted to hurt herself with a kitchen knife due to allegedly having depression.” said AKP Karyana.

According to information from NWD’s family, the incident occurred when one of her nieces came to her house on Wednesday afternoon around 4:00pm. But NKC was surprised when she saw her aunt attempting to end her life right in front of her. NKC immediately informed other family members regarding the incident and then reported it to the police. “When we arrived at the location, we immediately rushed her to Klungkung Public Hospital to seek medical attention. AKP Karyana added.

Karyana also confirmed that according to the information from her family, NWD was depressed due to physical illness that she has been suffering. “According to our investigation, the victim attempted to end her life after suffering from severe illness for years, causing her to get depressed.” AKP Karyana concluded. Fortunately, NWD’s condition is now getting better after several surgeries from medical teams at Klungkung Hospital.
