The central government has revised several points on the entry requirements to Bali for domestic tourists starting April 1st 2021.
According to mandate Number 12 Year 2021 about travel requirements for domestic tourists during the Covid pandemic, there are several entry requirements that have started to be implemented such as:
-Other than showing negative results from either a swab test or a rapid antigen test, tourists are now allowed to show negative results from Genose C-19 as a new testing method.
-Both swab and rapid antigen tests are only valid for 2 days prior to the departure, while the Genose C-19 breath test will be done directly at the harbour before taking the ferry as well as at the airport before taking flight.
-Children under the age of 5 are not required to take any covid tests.
-Each traveler is required to fill out the electronic-Health Access Card (e-HAC) Indonesia upon arrival.
-If the individual shows any Covid symptoms despite the negative result from both the rapid antigen test and the Genose breath test, they would be required to take the swab test and are not allowed to continue their trip.
– The Genose test will cost around USD 2.75 (IDR 40,000) each.
-Each traveler is required to comply with the prevention protocols such as wearing face masks(surgical or 3-layer masks only), physical distancing and frequent hand sanitizing during their trip. Food consumption is not allowed during the last 2 hours of flight, except for medical reasons.
The central government hopes that this new policy will bring positive impact for tourism in Bali by it’s leniency and keep everyone safe from getting infected by Covid while traveling during the pandemic.
