Free Marine Ambulance Begins Operating In Nusa Penida

Patients being treated in Nusa Penida will now have free access when referred to hospitals in mainland Bali. A hospital in Klungkung District has provided a marine ambulance to make transport easier for patients.

Previously, patients needed to take a regular fast boat with other passengers in order to reach Bali from Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan. This method was unsafe, and also unequipped to support patients in case of emergency situations.

In order to find a better solution, Graha Bhakti Medika Public Hospital collaborated with Rusdi Foundation to officially operate the marine ambulance, free of charge, as of Friday (5/2).

This service is targeted to provide emergency medical services for people with the Indonesian Health Card (KIS) or those who are financially incapable to pay their medical bills.

The Director of Graha Bhakti Medika Hospital, Dr. Agus Donny Susanto, said that the ambulance will be on 24-hour standby at the Lembongan Port.

“This ambulance will be ready for 24 hours of operation to serve the Klungkung community in emergency situations and provide access to proper medical assistance,” Susanto said.

People can reach the facility by calling the Graha Bhakti Medika’s call center at +628361 5584001 or +6282146070197 for a quick response from the hospital.

This program was initiated as support from Graha Bhakti Medika and Rusdi Foundation to the government, so more people could have easier access to better medical assistance when in need.

Appreciate for this world clas services. I hope that the existence of this ambulance can be well maintained in the long term. Not only does it look good at the beginning of its launch but then the service deteriorates with the passage of time. people get sick, of course it never be expected
