3 Women Rescued After Allegedly Being Locked Up In Bali Cafe

Officers from the Buleleng police department has rescued three women who had been allegedly locked up in a cafe in Singaraja.

The Head of Singaraja Public Relations, Police Officer Iptu Gede Sumarjaya, confirmed that three women identified as Putri, Dini, and Sita were evacuated after being allegedly locked up inside their workplace. They were rescued on Thursday early morning (23/12) by police officers.

“Three women who work at one of the cafes located in Jalan Sudirman, Singaraja were evacuated from their workplace on Thursday, 5:00 am,” Iptu Sumarjaya said on Thursday afternoon.

One of the victims sent a Whatsapp message to the police through the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) and reported the incident on Thursday morning.

When the officers arrived at the location, they discovered that the cafe was locked from the outside. They had to break the door to get inside and rescue the victims.

“One victim seemed especially weak and kept vomiting, so we rushed her to Wirasatya Hospital in Singaraja,” Iptu Sumarjaya added.

An investigation of the incident was delayed as all the victims were still shocked and traumatized. They were unable to explain and give further details.
