VIP Lounge At Bali Airport Adds Touch Of Luxury Island-Hopping

Bali Airport is Indonesia’s second busiest airport. The airport sees millions of passengers every year across both the domestic and international terminals.

As international airports go, Bali Airport is consistently ranked amongst the best in Asia. From VIP Lounges to food and dining, the commitment from InJourney to make Bali Airport a world-class travel hub is starting to pay off.

The Blue Sky Premier Lounge is receiving rave reviews from travellers right now. And it’s not hard to see why. While many destinations and travel services can get the seal of approval from tourists and holidaymakers, it’s when services start getting the green light from lifelong travelers that everyone should sit up and listen.

The Blue Sky Premier Lounge can be found in the domestic terminal of Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. The lounge service is hitting headlines after garnering top marks from Matthew Klint from acclaimed aviation review site, Live and Let’s Fly. Klint praised Blue Sky Premier Lounge’s food and beverage offering, which includes an unlimited ice cream stand.

Klint shared, “I was impressed most of all with the Ippolito coffee bar, which offered barista-made coffee that was quite respectable (though the coffee at Revolver in the terminal is the best if you’re a coffee snob).”

Here at The Bali Sun, we are inclined to agree. We are big fans of Revolver around here. Though for the full Revolver experience, you have to visit the cafes in Canggu and Seminyak.

Klint’s conclusion of his experience was filled with praise for Blue Sky Premier Lounge, sharing, “The Blue Sky Premier Lounge in Bali is one of those rare Priority Pass lounges that actually feels worth seeking out rather than merely tolerating. Between the comfortable seating, strong food spread, and genuinely good barista-made coffee, this lounge rates well above what I typically expect from a contract lounge in a domestic terminal.”

In 2026, more and more international tourists will be traveling domestically in Indonesia. With the Ministry of Tourism on a mission to promote more destinations across the country to international tourists, and with the rise in demand for multi-stop vacations, VIP lounges like Blue Sky Premier Lounge make domestic travel in Indonesia all the more appealing to tourists.

Contrary to popular belief, domestic air travel from Bali is becoming increasingly accessible and affordable. Bali Airport currently serves 20 destinations across Indonesia.

The most in-demand routes offer multiple daily services from Denpasar, including to Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, and Yogyakarta.

Increasingly in demand domestic flight destinations for Bali tourists include Lombok, Labuan Bajo, which is the gateway to Komodo National Park, as well as Tambolaka and Waingapu, which connect travellers to the stunning island of Sumba.

Airlines offering low-cost domestic airfares from Denpasar include Lion Air, Citilink, Indonesia AirAsia, and Super Air Jet. Other airlines to consider for domestic travel from Bali include Wings Air, Pelita Air, and TransNusa.

Full-service airlines also offer domestic routes in Indonesia, with Garuda Indonesia and Batik Air amongst the most available.

Here at The Bali Sun, we are huge advocates for the multi-stop Bali vacation. Whether this is multiple stops within Bali or multiple stops across Indonesia, starting or ending in Bali, it matters not.

Our mantra is more is more! Get out there and experience all that this incredible archipelago nation has to offer.

For those seeking a real island paradise style of vacation, we recommend flying into Bali, hopping through the island’s most impressive beaches, including Uluwatu and Sanur, before flying to Lombok to explore destinations like Kuta Beach or Pandanan Beach.

For tourists seeking more of a cultural deep dive, we recommend heading west of Bali to East Java.

Starting off with a cultural immersion in Bali’s Ubud, followed by a few days in the ancient city of Denpasar, before flying to Surabaya for a journey through history to understand the rich and multicultural heritage of this ever-changing city.
