The word “warung” simply translates to “shop” in Indonesian. However, in Bali, it specifically refers to these small, casual eateries. Warungs can vary greatly in appearance. Some might be basic open-air shacks with plastic chairs and a few tables.

Or you can say ‘aku tidak akan daging, ikan, susu atau telur – aku vegetarian ekstrim’

Eating cheap street food will make sure you get enough MSG (monosodium glutamate).
I do not need more MSG so I prefer the more "upscale" air conditioned and closed off local restaurants found in the local areas like central Denpasar (Renon). These restaurants need repeat customers and are dealing with locals that will not accept the shenanigans often found at the hip restaurants in the tourist zones: Obnoxious service, poor food hygiene in relation to weak tourist stomachs, overpriced, watered down drink etc.
