Indonesia’s national airline has been named as having the world’s best cabin crew.
Garuda Indonesia was awarded the accolade at the Skytrax World Airline Awards, known as the Oscars of the aviation industry.
The esteemed award means that tourists can now travel to Bali with the world’s finest cabin crews.
What better way to arrive on the Island of the Gods than in the company of the world’s best cabin crew?
Garuda Indonesia is a highly regarded airline, and the service provided by cabin crews is certainly worthy of such an esteemed award at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2023.
It is not only this year that Gaurda has been named as the best cabin crew in the world but for the last six years!
The President & CEO of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra, spoke to the media after the winners were announced.
Setiaputra said, “This global recognition reflects on how Garuda Indonesia, as a national flag carrier, manages its services thoroughly, including assuring the hospitality of Indonesia and sincerity well delivered from our cabin crew to the passengers.”
He added, “we also would like to thank the passengers for trusting Garuda Indonesia services to smooth their journey.”
“This achievement is indeed our motivation to develop more initiatives and keep our commitment to enhancing the passengers’ satisfaction needs.”
The best cabin crew award winner is decided based on a huge range of performance indicators.
The organizers of the awards say the category is designed to “recognize the highest all-round performance of cabin staff, for hard service…and soft service characteristics (e.g., staff enthusiasm, attitude, friendliness, and hospitality).”

The Garuda Indonesia flight service from Melbourne to Denpasar has also recently increased in frequency.
From the 7th April, the direct service started operating every Friday and Saturday. The flight departs Melbourne at 8am and lands in Denpasar on 12.05pm, a flight service that has been praised for its convenient timing.
The return flight will also operate every Friday and Saturday, departing Bali at 11.05 pm and arriving in Melbourne at 6.35 am the following morning.
For those taking long-haul flights that require transit, Garuda Indonesia also has you covered.
The airline covers the Singapore-Denpasar route five times a day, every day of the week.
The airline also operates direct flights from Kuala Lumpur multiple times a week, fluctuating with the seasons.
It was not only Garuda Indonesia who was named as winners at the awards. Scoot won the award for the best long-haul low-cost airline.
The airline, most easily recognizable for its bold yellow branding, Scoot operates direct flights to Denpasar from Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.
Leslie Tang, the CEO of Scoot, told the media, “We are honored to be recognized as the World’s Best Low-Cost Long Haul Airline once again.”
“This award reinforces Scoot’s commitment to providing our customers with quality service, differentiated products, contemporary experiences, and great value.”
Popular airline AirAsia which operates dozens of flights in and out of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport every day, won Best Low-Cost Airline in Asia and Worlds Best Low-Cost Airline.
Citilink won Best Low-Cost Airline in Indonesia. The airline just announced a highly sought-after new flight service between Perth and Denpasar.
Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport is now serving thirty international routes.
In light of recent unseasonably heavy rains and storms, travelers heading to Bali Airport have been urged to leave extra time to compensate for potential traffic and flooding over the next few weeks.

On European Asian routs ticket prices rise in economy for about 45% in comparing to 2022 therefore at least world class crews should be expected.

How about modernizing the terminal so that mobility impaired tourists can enter and exit an airplane on a flat level instead of having to climb steep stairs into the aircraft?

This obvious bullshit and a typical Indonesian scam/racket.
There is ZERO way Garuda is better than Japan Airlines or Singapore Airlines. I've flown all these numerous times and Japan Airlines and their crews blow anyone else out of the water with their service and politeness.
