There is a lot of debate right now about whether Bali is experiencing overtourism and whether the island is still worth visiting. This question has us recoiling: “Not visit Bali?! Are you mad?” Yes, we will concede that things have gotten a little crazy down in Canggu and Uluwatu, but hello…there is a whole island to explore! Bali’s biggest resorts may be feeling the pressure of rapid tourism development, but that is frankly a lousy reason to skip the paradise island.
With destinations like West Bali National Park, Bedugul, Amed, and Nusa Lembongan just crying out to be explored, we can look to Bali’s up-and-coming destinations to plan itineraries that not only avoid crowds but prioritize genuine cultural connection and meaningful travel adventures.
