Three new 5-star hotels will open in three different locations across Bali by the end of 2022.
According to the Colliers Quarterly Report on Q1 of 2022, three 5-star hotels are currently under construction in Bali. They are expected to start operating by the end of this year.
The new hotels are located in 3 different areas: Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, and Tanjung Benoa.
The first hotel named Jumeirah Hotel has 104 rooms and will be located in Pecatu Indah Resort Jimbaran. The second hotel named Kimpton Resort Nusa Dua has 50 rooms and will be located in Jalan Nusa Dua. The third one named Lavaya Resort and Residence has 278 rooms and will be located in Tanjung Benoa.
A new 4-star hotel called Aloft Hotel Kuta Beach is also expected to begin operating before the end of 2022.
Colliers also predicted that the Bali tourism industry will begin to recover by the end of 2022 as they expect to have a 20 percent increase in hotel occupancy this year. He is optimistic that tourism will bounce back soon since the majority of countries have revoked their travel restrictions.

@Martina, ahha yeah, taking down the rice fields, setting higher price for visa and introducing more 5star hotels, yet "being optimistic about the raising tourism". Boooy, good job on that haha So sorry for Bali :(

@Michael, what's the difference?
Many Americans regardless of vaccination status are reluctant to travel abroad because of the PCR covid test taken within one day to travel back home. Should they test positive abroad it would pose a nightmare...until now the Biden Administration has not rescinded the covid test rules to enter the US.
However for fully vaccinated travelers (3 doses) to enter France, Canada or the UK, the entry test rules have been dropped. The unvaccinated travelers or having 2 doses of vaccines need to follow the covid test rules prior and after arrival in the country.
