The Bali Governor Has Issued A Travel Guide For International Visitors

The Bali provincial government has issued a travel guide about all the travel requirements for international visitors.

The Head of the Denpasar Tourism Agency, Putu Astawa confirmed that the provincial government has recently created a guidebook that contains all the travel policies that must be complied by international visitors during their vacation on the island. “As the border was finally reopened for international visitors, we have created a guide book that must be read during their 5 days of quarantine here.” Astawa said on Tuesday (19/10).

Astawa also said that travelers are not allowed to exit their hotel rooms during their quarantine period before testing negative from Covid-19 with a PCR test on the 4th day of their quarantine. “During their quarantine, visitors are not allowed to leave their hotel rooms in order to prevent Covid-19 transmissions in that facility. They can spend that time reading the guide book that they receive at the airport.” Astawa added.

Despite receiving zero flights at the international terminal of Bali Ngurah Rai Airport in October, Astawa was optimistic that visitors will start coming in November and December 2021. “Both airline companies and potential international visitors are preparing themselves to travel in the near future, and I think Bali is now ready to welcome any visitors with all of the implemented prevention protocols that are discussed in the guidebook..” Astawa concluded.

Wouldn't it be better to make it available prior to arrival?

@Van Halteren...I hope you are not too disappointed when you arrive in Bali, the island has not been made any more attractive by the lockdown

Villa quarantine would be smarter instead of hotel. Give each Banjar some of the 31 million the Bali Government has stashed so they can check on those quarantining. At least people can enjoy the sun and a form of holiday whilst they do their quarantine and the money would benefit many villages!

How many tourist are going to bother going when they make you quarantine for the 1st 5 days of your holiday and pay for it! No thanks, get back to normal then I might visit again, anyway I dread to think what the restrictions are like if they need to produce a handbook about it, just not worth the hassle, big mistake Bali.

Wow, they're really consistent in their reckless policy. They're really keep trying to convince us it's not a big deal to fly over there for like 20+ hours, spend few days LOCKED UP IN THE ROOM, and then "enjoy" the island full of prohibitions for the rest of our time, which in most cases would be less than the locked-up time. Oh, and then obviously fly back home another 20+ hours. Yeah, when you think about it, it makes more sense actually. Totally worth the struggle. Let's just get ready for all the ocean of tourists POURING DOWN on Bali on November and December. Let's just get ready!
