South Korean DJ and producer Peggy Gou expressed her anger at people who leave their trash on Bali beaches.
The 28-year-old Berlin-based house and techno DJ, who performed on New Year’s Eve at Desa Potato Head, went out for a walk on one of Bali’s beaches during her stay in the country, according to her Instagram post.
However, Gou became absolutely furious after she saw all the trash left there by the visitors.
Gou is considered one of the world’s hippest DJ right now, with an independent record label, a Virgin Abloh-supported fashion label and over a million Instagram followers. She made her Boiler Room debut in New York City back in 2017, and has since played in international music festivals such as Coachella and Glastonbury.
“Some of you motherf***ers don’t appreciate the ocean man,” Gou said in the video as she collected some of the garbage she found on the beach. “Seriously, take your f***ing garbage.”
The DJ did not disclose the name of the beach, but she geotagged Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia in her post.
The artist sings in her native Korean language in hits like “It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)” and “Starry Night,” and she refers to her music as “K-House.”
