A 33-year-old Russian woman with the initials LN and her 3-year-old toddler with the initials VN have been deported for overstaying in Bali.
The Head of Bali Law and Human Rights Ministry, Jamaruli Manihuruk, confirmed that both LN and VN were deported for violating Indonesia’s immigration policy by overstaying in Bali.
“LN and her daughter were deported on Sunday evening (10/4) after overstaying for 956 days in Bali,” Jamaruli said during a press conference on Monday (11/4) in Denpasar.
LN entered Bali with her husband with the initials SAN on July 24th 2019. They were with their daughter, VN, and had stayed as tourists in a guesthouse in Ungasan.
In December 2021, SAN left the island for his job in Malaysia but then went back to Russia without notifying his wife in Bali. “LN lost her contact with her husband after months of receiving false hope from him, saying that he would take care of LN’s visa from Russia,” Jamaruli added.
As LN began to lose her financial reserve, she reported herself to the Immigration Office Class I Ngurah Rai on April 4th 2022. LN was detained at the Immigration detention house along with her toddler while waiting for their deportation process to finish.
“After 6 days of detention, LN and her daughter were transported back home with Turkish Airlines after receiving 2 airplane tickets that were provided by her Russian friends,” Jamaruli concluded.

The Russians here in Bali are Russia's rejects and undesirables. They are the worst behaved visitors I've witnessed.

She should be awarded with Indonesian citizenship and not deported.

Overstay of 956 days that's proof for inadmissible for 10 years into the country at the very least. 6 months that's a slap on the wrist. Sighs.
Their behavior toward the locals need major improvement. The genuine approach of the Indonesian people will not show anger nor raise a voice toward foreigners.
