It is busy in Bali right now! The high season is well underway, and tourists are loving life along the southern coast of the island.
As more people arrive on the island, police are concerned there may be a small uptick in the amount of opportunistic crime in the busy tourist areas, so they’re taking a proactive approach.
Police in the ever-trending resort town of Seminyak have been conducting more patrols along the beachfront of late. Officers have been patrolling the whole of the Seminyak area, which runs from Double Six Beach through to Petitenget Beach.
Officers are on hand to assist tourists in any way that they can and to communicate with visitors about keeping safe.
The new beach patrols in Seminyak are not a cause for alarm for tourists. These are proactive and protective measures to help tourists feel safe and to deter any potential criminals from operating in the area.
Seminyak continues to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bali and has certainly made a comeback since the end of the pandemic. There is a buzz about Seminyak right now; it’s vibing!

The Head of Badung’s beach policing unit, AKP Ketut Wena, told reporters that he and his teams are out and about in Seminyak and paying special attention to communicating with tourists about public safety.
AKP Wena told reporters, “This security is aimed at anticipating disturbances in order to maintain a safe and conducive situation. We work in synergy with Balawista [lifeguard teams] and fishermen in carrying out security in coastal tourism areas.”

AKP Wena revealed that he and his teams are sharing information about protecting valueless while on the beach and when moving between their accommodation and all the attractions, restaurants, and nightlife Seminyak has to offer.
He added, “Criminal actors are always lurking. Seeing valuables makes criminals want to act.”
The increased police presence in Seminyak is, first and foremost, to protect tourists against opportunistic thieves who may operate in the area.
The increased patrols are also designed to help ensure that tourists respect the rules and regulations of Bali during their time on vacation.
The move comes as part of an island-wide initiative to crack down on badly behaved tourists. While there haven’t been too many reports of tourists behaving badly in Seminyak, officials don’t want to take any chances.
Leaders in Bali want to see a shift towards more high-quality, sustainable, and culturally respectful tourism on the island.

The tourist resort is loved and adored for being chic, stylish, yet unpretentious. The kind of luxury that tourists can indulge in guilt-free.
Many tourists who visit Seminyak love spending their vacation days with chilled-out mornings in their hotel, private villa, or resort and even more laid-back afternoons hanging out at one of the many beachfront bars.
Come sundown Seminyak really comes into its own.
Tourists are spoilt for choice when it comes to fine dining establishments to explore and world-class nightlife to dive into.
It’s clear that tourists can indulge in a little luxury in Seminyak, whether that be a visit to the internationally celebrated Desa Potato Head Beach Club or partying the days away at Mrs. Sippy.
But where can tourists in Seminyak explore the culturally respectful tourism leaders want them to experience?
Seminyak makes for a great launchpad to explore the rest of the island. The resort town is just a short 1-hour drive from the arts and cultural capital of Ubud.
Day trips from Seminyak are not to be overlooked; within a single day trip from the beachside retreat, tourists can tick off the essential Bali bucket list, including the Telallagang Rice Terraces, the Ubud Monkey Forest, and even the Tirta Empul Temple, famous for water blessings ceremonies.

Chocking traffic last time I visited Seminyak. Noisy motorbikes and pollution. Overdevolped with little or no green spaces left. No trace of "spiritual and sustainable"

@jerry, and often coming from remote islands with cannibal past, its better to respect laws instead to end up in saucepan.
