While in recent years, the focus of the nightlife scene in Bali has shifted towards Uluwatu and Canggu, trusty old Seminyak has proven steadfast in its style and stamina.

Getting drunk out of your mind is a very spiritual experience.

@Raymond, one definition of ‘spiritual’ is to “get out of your mind”. Unless it’s the Buddhas definition which is “ never seek the void”.

“Super friendly and safe” ? Weren’t there an abundance of drug gangs brutalizing overserved women? Every article about ‘nightlife’ should include a disclaimer and warnings posted on the front doors of the infamous venues where ‘Kuta Cowboys’ lurk for unwary victims.

@Exp, Hah….how appropriate. ‘Favela’ is the term for violent gang controlled ghetto in Brazil.

Yep. Just look at the true (one star) google reviews of La Favela, Seminyak. Anything but "super friendly and safe" security there according to reviewers.
Visitors need to understand that "security" at these venues is run by Balinese "ormas". Just google "Laskar Bali" and "Baladika" look at the images and see for yourself their "capabilities" and "conflict solving skills".

Why suddenly a rash of fluff articles? I want news from Bali. Not paid advertisements. Tourism minister putting the clamps on Bali Sun?

There was an instruction out from gov. authorities not so long ago asking media to no longer focus on issues that could put Bali in negative light!
