Gastronomic legend Gabriel Fratini, who has over 50 years of culinary expertise behind him, has opened a new Gastrobar in the heart of Canggu.

GAB’s GastroBar, located in The Luc Lifestyle Centre on Jalan Pantai Berawa in Canggu, is set to become the new favorite eatery in the Gu.

Bringing his experience from his early career in the culinary capitals of Italy, France, and London to his tenure in Hong Kong and Singapore, Chef Frantini has mastered his gastronomy prowess but embraced the evolution of the food scene and himself.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the grand opening, Chef Frantini shared his vision for his new Gastrobar eatery. He shared that he and his teams are dedicated to serving fresh, personalized dishes every day, with a focus on quality and innovation.

Chef Frantini is ambitious, he wants to see GAB’s Gastrobar strive to redefine the culinary landscape in Bali. He revealed “I try to create more than just food; I want to create a memorable experience for every guest.”

Chef Fratini explained “We invite guests to trust our expertise and join in forging meaningful connections through extraordinary cuisine.”

The top chef continued, “GAB’s is a manifestation of all the restaurants I have ever created. This is probably the last and most I want to tell about my 50 years of culinary experience.”

He added, “We want to make this place friendly, kind and different. A place where people come not only to eat, but also to chat with the owner, make new friends and become part of the restaurant.”

Speaking at the opening night of GAB’s Gastrobar, Frantini’s business partner, Gresye Kaendo, said, “From the shape of the food, the appearance of the food, to every dish made by the chef, everything will differentiate us from the others.”

“GAB’s is a representation of Chef Gabriel’s achievements as a private chef for President Bush and some of the world’s top artists such as Roger Federer.”

VIP Guests who sampled the food tasting before the grand opening were served a mouth-watering 10-course menu featuring the freshest and most colorful ingredients.

Table reservations are now open via the GAB’s Gastrobar Instagram page and WhatsApp.

GAB’s Gastrobar is located within The Luc Lifestyle Centre in the heart of Berawa in Canggu. The complex opened its doors in November 2023 and has proven to be a welcoming and luxurious hangout spot for tourists and locals seeking the finer things in life.

At the soft opening of The Luc, CEO Anthon Hilman, said “The Luc is more than just a destination; This is a journey of the spirit of Indonesian culture packaged exclusively in the luxury of the modern world.”

Considering all the rapid development happening in Canngu, Luc even got the seal of approval from the Head of Tibubeneng Village, I Made Kamajaya.

Kamajaya told reporters, “Hopefully the soft opening will bring blessings I am happy to have The Luc [and am] grateful that Tibubeneng was chosen and became an investment choice.”

The Luc is now home to some of Canngu’s most loved food and beverage outlets, independent fashion brands, and art vendors.

Tourists planning upcoming visits to Cangu should check out The Luc’s social media pages to see the events schedule. The lifestyle center regularly hosts events such as wine tasting, live music, and even sip-and-paint parties.
