The beauty of Bali as a travel destination is the huge range of accommodation options to choose from.
Whether tourists are looking for a super budget-friendly bed and breakfast or the height of five-star luxury, whatever the travel style, Bali goes above and beyond.
One of the most popular accommodation options in Bali is to rent a private villa. Private vacation homes range from lavish mansions overlooking the ocean, to a simple wooden joglo built in traditional Indonesian style.
Tourists love the privacy and intimacy of a rental villa that affords them the freedom to really feel at home on the Island of the Gods.
There are dozens of private villa rental platforms to choose from. Whether it be Airbnb, booking.com or Agoda, tourists don’t need to look far to find a great deal.
Now there is a new, Indonesian-based accommodation rental provider.
Villanesia is a digital solution for the holiday villa space in Indonesia, specifically in Bali.
The platform has been designed to help make it easier and safer for tourists to book their stays online and provide maximum support for rental villa owners.
Private rental villa owners often feel they are shortchanged by the high commission rates of online platforms and are not protected when tourists cancel at the last minute, ending up losing money.
Villanesia has been created by and is managed by PT Jetwings Bali Tour & Travel, a company that has more than 10 years of experience in tourism management.
Villanesia aims to help the boost the business growth of villa and tourist property owners in Indonesia.
The platform is focusing especially in the top ten destinations in the Indonesian archipelago; Bali, Lombok, Labuan Bajo, Bromo, Solo, Jakarta, Bandung, Batam Bintan, Lake Toba, and Manado.
At the launch of Villanesia at Harris Hotel & Residences Sunset Road Bali, on Tuesday 12th December, the CEO of Jetwings Bali Tour & Travel, Andreas Chandra, shared his vision for the new platform.
He said “Villanesia is also here to provide a safer and more comfortable experience for tourists in searching for and booking accommodation while on holiday in Indonesia.”
More than just a booking platform Villanesia is aiming to provide comprehensive travel information for tourists planning their vacations in Bali and around Indonesia.
The platform features a quick and easy way to make accommodation reservations, as well as complete and accurate accommodation information, security and comfort in making transactions, and a dedicated customer service that is ready to help tourists 24/7.
Product Manager for Villanesia, Eko Mardianto, told the audience “We are optimistic that Villanesia can become one of the main players in the digital tourism industry in Indonesia.”
“We are committed to providing the best service for villa owners and tourists, as well as contributing to increasing the growth of the Indonesian tourism industry.”
Indonesia’s Minister for Tourism and Creative Economies has given his backing to the new company and has praised the creators for developing a digital solution that will provide no end of economic benefit to the Indonesian tourism sector.
Minister Sandiaga Uno told reporters, “Villanesia is a digital innovation that is very beneficial for the Indonesian tourism industry.”
“This application can help villa and tourist property owners to reach a wider range of tourists, as well as provide a safer and more comfortable experience for tourists.”
He added, “I hope that Villanesia can continue to develop and become one of the main players in the digital tourism industry in Indonesia.“
Many private villa rental providers have already signed up to the platform, with more being onboarded every week.
Director of Sales from Alex Villa management, Ode Dede, shared his praises for the platform and hopes that tourists will start using the service too.
Dede said, “As a villa manager who is trying to gain momentum for the return of the tourism industry after the COVID-19 pandemic, we are often burdened with marketing costs which are quite strangling us, from existing accommodation booking applications.”
“We are happy with the presence of Villanesia which is expected to be able to compete with other similar applications and provide more competitive benefits for villa owners.”
Travel blogger Gaby Annisa Angelistia, told reporters, “The presence of Villanesia as a website and application created by local Balinese residents must be supported by all parties in the digital tourism industry.”
She added, “It is time for us to become hosts in our own country in terms of developing tourism technology that has local wisdom and competitive advantage, especially since Bali is one of Indonesia’s gateways to reach foreign tourists.”

I looked up this booking site. No photos or bio of those responsible, no photo or bio of villa owners, no name of villa, no ref. to specific terms, conditions, support, cancellation, refund from what I could find (I did not make an account).
So how is the user going ti have confidence this is legit. This is a site I would not leave my payment details with at this stage.
