Bali’s brand new, world-class Bali International Hospital has officially opened.

While the grand opening will formally be held later in the year, the new medical facility is in its soft opening phase and is welcoming medical tourists from across Indonesia and around the world.

The new Bali International Hospital is a long-anticipated new medical facility built in the heart of Sanur. The creation of the new hospital has taken nearly a decade of planning and years of construction.

The development of the Bali International Hospital is the keystone of Sanur’s transformation from a classic beach resort into the Sanur Special Economic Zone for Medical Tourism.

Bali’s oldest beach resort has undergone a total transformation. While the essence of the traditional fishing village can be seen all around, Sanur’s new era as a world-leading medical tourism destination has fully kicked off.

The Bali International Hospital shares, “Bali International Hospital is now open in Sanur, offering world-class healthcare grounded in compassion, precision, and peace of mind. From cutting-edge diagnostics and 24/7 emergency care to personalized screenings and internationally aligned treatments—this is care designed around you.”

Adding “Whether you are a local resident, expat, or health traveler, your journey to expert, patient-centered care begins today.” The hospital is committed to establishing a ‘culture of care’ where all patients, especially those who have traveled long distances for treatment, feel like all their needs are met, not only in a medical sense but in a wholly holistic way.

Bali International Hospital says “You are in good hands. Our modern, purpose-built facility is equipped with the latest technology, ensuring that every patient receives advanced care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. At Bali International Hospital, we are committed to delivering healthcare that is personal, seamless, and tailored to your unique needs.”

The new hospital complex spans 67,465 square meters across four floors. Bali International Hospital offers patients access to 255 beds, 34 intensive care rooms, 8 operating rooms, 4 cath labs, 5 centers of excellence, and advanced imaging and treatment capabilities. The hospital will specialize in Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Orthopedics.

A specialized emergency department will also provide ICU care and private ambulance services for emergency patients. The Bali International Hospital Emergency Hotline: 150 919. The service is available in Bahasa Indonesia and English, and translation services are available.

These services are in addition to comprehensive health screening packages, dedicated facilities, and services in women’s and children’s health, travel medicine, and vaccinations.

Currently, five screening packages are available for Bali-bound medical tourists, with more anticipated to be available in the coming weeks and months. These comprehensive screening packages cover both general health and specific health issues.

For example, the Silver Heart package, which starts at IDR 11,000,000 offers medical tourists “an advanced cardiovascular screening program designed to detect potential heart-related conditions and assess overall cardiovascular health.”

The packages have been designed with individuals with a family history of heart disease in mind, as well as athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and those in high-stress work environments.

The most accessible screening program is the Bali Classic package, priced at IDR 3,400,000, and is a comprehensive general health screening that can be completed in less than 2 hours, with a full range of results delivered within 24 hours.

Bali International Hospital is also the first medical facility in Indonesia to welcome foreign doctors onto the roster. Joining the oncology department from Singapore are Dr. Robert Lim, Dr. Francis Chin Kuok Choon, Dr. Patrica Khi Sunn Sunn, and Dr. Tan Yew Oo.

In a press release the President Director of the Bali International Hospital, Dewi Fankhuningdyah Fitriana, told reporters “The operation of the Bali International Hospital is a meeting point between global standards, Indonesian talent, and Balinese hospitality.”

Had a look at their web page. 97 doctors listed, maybe 3-4 from overseas the rest seemed to be Indonesian mostly from Bali. Probably the crew rotating with other hospitals in south Bali.

As usual nothing on their web page about rates for consultations, radiology, ICU, beds etc. As usual you just have to give them the credit card and hope for the best. A disgrace really.
