An official from the Bali Covid-19 Handling Task Force has confirmed that the recovery rate of Covid-19 in Bali has increased.
Bali recorded 1,307 new cases and 1,686 recoveries on Tuesday (15/2), reflecting a significant increase in the recovery rate since Omicron transmission first surged several weeks ago.
However, the official admitted that 20 patients in Bali still died during this third wave.
To prevent another surge in transmission, the government prepared quarantine facilities to accommodate asymptomatic Covid-19 patients.
The Spokesman of Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Dewa Gede Rai, stated that the Denpasar city government has four quarantine facilities, though some Covid-19 patients still self-isolate at home.
“Some children and senior citizens were allowed to undergo self-isolation at home with the supervision from the local authority,” Dewa Rai said on Monday (14/2).
He ensured that all self-isolating patients were regularly monitored to prevent Covid-19 clusters from forming among them.

How can you have more recoveries from something than recorded case….either 100% recoveries or a lower percentage.

@Ellen, the new cases were not the first to be recorded - we didn't start today with zero cases and then today there were 1307 new cases discovered
Today there were 1307 new cases but there might have been 10,000 cases already found before today.
So now there would be 11307 cases except that 1686 cases got better.
The total cases at the end of today is 9621 cases. This is good news.
Any day where the number of new cases is less than the number of people who got better is a good day. It means we are heading towards no cases.
Cheers
