A professional makeup artist has been arrested for stealing a sound system from a villa’s guest in Bali.
A 28-year-old man named Fransisco Sinaga from Banten was arrested by the Badung police on Monday (30/8) after being reported for stealing a sound system from one of the guests of Arza Canggu Terrace villa that is located in Buduk village, Mengwi Badung. The Head of the Mengwi Police Department, AKP Nyoman Darsana confirmed that Sinaga was arrested on Monday from a hotel that is located in Denpasar.
Prior to the arrest, the suspect managed to break into the villa on Sunday morning around 5:30am when the guest of that villa was away from the property and stole a Harman Onyx4 sound system that is worth around USD 172 (IDR 2.5 million.) Once the villa guest returned to the villa later that day, he was surprised when he noticed that his electronic device was gone, so he decided to report the incident to the villa owner, I Gede Ardika (aged 53).
Shortly after, Ardika filed a report of the incident to the Badung police department and asked them to begin their investigation. After collecting information from the scene, all the evidence led them to the suspect but unfortunately they were unable to find him at his place that is located on Jalan Kebo Iwa Denpasar. A few hours later, the police finally managed to arrest the suspect as they were informed that Sinaga had been staying in Kubu Alvian Quess that is located in Padangsambian, West Denpasar. “Once he was arrested, he admitted that he stole the sound system and had already sold it for USD 41 (IDR 600,000) and spent the money on his daily needs.” AKP Darsana concluded.
