Dozens of dogs have been poisoned across multiple beach areas in Canggu, causing them to pass away.
Videos and photos of poisoned dogs around Canggu, North Kuta have gone viral on social media, causing the majority of residents, expats, and animal lover communities who live in the area to get mad and condemn such behavior.
Both stray and owned dogs are threatened by unidentified people who intentionally scattered poisoned food around the beach areas.
Dog owners in Canggu have become worried as the suspects have also attempted to kill dogs by throwing poisoned food into their houses.
All stray dogs roaming around the beaches in Canggu were well-behaved and majority of them had been vaccinated and castrated by the local community.
The North Kuta Police Department has stated that they will conduct an investigation once they receive reports concerning the incident.

Not just in Canguu, been a spate of poisonings on other beaches in the past 2 weeks also. Makes you wonder who's behind this. A lot of of the beach dogs and other strays have disapeared recently. A friend of mine had his dog poisoned poor little thing died a horrible death, the vet couldn't save her. Why are people doing this? Is it a co-ordinated cull or is it just coincidental individual dog haters?

This is also happening in Thailand. Aggressive dogs on the beaches have been a big problem in Bali for years.

@J West, those nice dogs aren’t aggressive. Wondering that in Buddhist country like Kingdom of Thailand such things happened, because it’s against Buddhist humanity.

@J West, that sounds like hyperbole to me..definition of hyperbole is an exaggeration to prove a point... In 4 decades of living in Bali I have never seen 'aggressive'dog behaviour otherthan if that dog was being hurt or threatened...

Such sadistic mass murderer must be caught immediately and jailed in closed psychiatric hospital for long time.
