Beach Clubs In Bali’s Uluwatu Are Gaining More International Attention

Share The Article

Uluwatu is fast becoming the hottest place to be in Bali.

If you’re a party lover, beach baby, or enjoy indulging in the finer things in life, then Uluwatu is the Bali destination for you.

Uluwatu is home to the island’s highest concentration of luxury beach clubs, and you don’t want to miss out on the action!

Savaya Beach Club Uluwatu

Uluwatu can be found at the southernmost tip of Bali. Located on an area of the island known as the Bukit Peninsula, the area commonly referred to by tourists as Uluwatu also incorporates Pecatu and Ungasan Villages too.

The area first caught the attention of foreigners back in the 1970s, when intrepid Australian surfers ventured far from the comforts and gentle waves of Kuta Beach down to the Bukit to explore what lay at the southernmost tip of the island.

They were met with stunning clifftop vistas, pristine soft sandy beaches, and some of the most challenging surf in all of Indonesia.

For decades Uluwatu was the best-kept secret of surfers and more adventurous backpackers.

In the last five years or so, the area has undergone a tourism development boom, with much more to come.

Uluwatu is now as synonymous with beach clubs and luxury getaways as it is with surfing, and tourists from all over the world can’t get to the resort quickly enough.

Beach clubs in Bali offer tourists a chance to kick back, relax, and party like there is no tomorrow.

Once upon a time, the world’s best beach clubs could only be found in Ibiza, Tulum, or Miami, but as demand for luxury and party travel experiences continues to grow, Bali is keen to keep up with demand.

Bali’s beach clubs consistently rank highly on travel magazines’ ‘best of’ lists, including Desa Potato Head in Seminyak, which was listed as one of the top beach clubs in the world in 2023 by CN Traveler.

As Uluwatu continues to boom, beach clubs in the resort area are gaining increasing international attention.

It only takes a quick look at social media to see how just many of Uluwatu’s beach clubs are trending as travel destinations at any given moment.

Couple this with the increasingly high-profile international acts that are headline event evenings in the area, and it’s clear that competition to be the best beach club in Uluwatu is going to be fierce for a long time to come.

Savaya

Savaya is a cut above the rest. This internationally acclaimed beach club brings in incredible headline acts every single month.

In 2023 alone, the venue has hosted Calvin Harris, Black Coffee, and Jason Derulo.

Whether visiting for one of the big music nights or on a ‘normal’ day, guests have their expectations blown away time after time with the luxury hospitality and high vibes at Savaya.

Sundays Beach Club

Sunday’s Beach Club is one of the most popular beach clubs in all of Bali. Accessed by a super unique inclination (which is like a cliffside elevator!) Sundays Beach Club gives guests the time of their lives.

From access to kayaks and stand-up paddle boards to sunset bonfires, non-stop cocktails, and perfect playlists to set the tone throughout the day and live DJs playing long into the night, there is so much to enjoy at Sundays Beach Club.

Due to its incredible popularity, making a reservation in advance is highly advisable. Guests can choose to spend the day hanging out on a shoreline sun lounger or in one of the VIP areas the venue offers. For ultimate luxury and fun in the sun, be sure to book a VIP Bungalow for you and your friends.

Minoo Beach Club

Minoo Beach Club proudly sits at the southernmost tip of Bali. How’s that for a travel story in the making?!

Minoo is the home away from home for creative folk, music lovers, and foodies. Chilled out and all kinds of chic, Minoo Beach Club boasts. 12-meter infinity pool that overlooks the Ungasan coastline.

Single Fin

For classic Uluwatu surfer vibes, be sure to check out Single Fin. A favorite hangout of the long-stay tourists in Uluwatu, as well as the surfers and fun-loving crowds.

Single Fin, arguably, offers the best spot for sunset in all of Uluwatu. Make sure to arrive earlier to secure your space at the bar; it gets pretty pumping down at Single Fin!

Bali sadly is eating itself and the beach clubs have a lot to answer for that.Uluwatu is now becoming another Canggu with over development and horrendous traffic problems. The Golden Goose story is starting to evolve.

Important that Beach Clubs add to the Cultural, traditional and historical values that the governance emphasise is a priority and important to tourism.

@Thommo, Yes they add a lot of "values" but maybe not the ones you think about:

They attract the well off crowd that Bali so much value. Tik tok / Instagram crowd that do not hesitate to book tables at Savaya costing 15-20 Juta minimum spend!

These clubs are basically built on beaches and/or cliff tops which is against Bali regulations. Many clubs happily use only single use plastic cups, which is also against Bali regulations.
