The incredible Suara Festival will return to Nuanu City, overlooking Tabanan’s Nyanyi Beach, from July 26th to July 28th.
In 2024 Suara Festival is going to be bigger and better than ever before, this event is growing rapidly and has quickly become a highlight of the Bali events calendar in three short years.
The festival celebrates culture, music, art, and wellness. It will feature live music performances, talks and panel discussions, workshops, an incredible artisan market, and a really interactive and engaging kids’ zone.
The team behind Suara Festival says, “Suara is the dream of people inspired by the values reflected in the Nuanu Principles and united in the pursuit of creating an ever-evolving regenerative living systems game that integrates ecological harmony and community connectivity, bringing experiences to people, inspiring and joyful to solve social problems and a sense of culture.”
Those who have attended the Suara Festival in previous years will be fondly reminded that it is one of the most integrated and truly community-based big commercial events in Bali.
The festival is attended by the full spectrum of Bali lovers, including tourists, expats, local Balinese families, and culture and music lovers from around the country.
“In Culture We Trust” is a mantra for the Suara Festival, which says culture is everywhere. In culture, we trust. It permeates all spaces and places and even infiltrates our daily life. Cultural initiatives have become one of society’s main agents of change. Investing in culture locally now and for the future influence positively the spirit and morale of people living in the community, as well as the social cohesion or well-being investment.”
Suara adds, “Bali has its own cultural resources. These resources make this island unique in terms of attractiveness and identity. Suara wants to build this cultural movement on the root of Balinese philosophy, the concept of Tri Hita Karana, the three causes of well-being.”
With Tri Hita Karana in mind, sustainability is at the forefront of all decisions made in creating the festival and the surrounding ecosystem, Nuanu Creative City. Organsiaors say, “Suara is committed to conscious earth stewardship and places eco-friendly practices as one of its top priorities. Our Workshops focus on sustainable lifestyles, art, and education.”
“There was no plastic sold on site last year: none. All vendors use compostable materials, and all drinking water is provided for free. For this year, we are excited about new practices with potential collaborators to make our world safer and healthier for everyone.”
This year, the festival is welcoming an incredible range of music artists, including huge international headline acts.
None other than Angus and Julia Stone will be gracing the stage at Suara in 2024, and their appearance on the lineup has tickets selling fast.
While international acts surely draw crowds, local Bali-based artists are also not to be missed. Festival attendees must make sure they are in the crowd for performances by the likes of Catur Hari Wijaya, the multi-instrumentalist wizard whose ethnic music performances, with a strong focus on rousing Indonesian folk classics and his own tracks, are insured by his global travels.
The brother-sister duo is an Australian folk indie and is best known for international hits like ‘Big Jet Plane,’ ‘Get Home’ and ‘Snow.’
Their set will blow to socks off Suara and with big name artists like Neil Frances, Younger and HVOB also topping the bill, this event is going to be fire!
As the next tier of tickets and festival passes are released, we anticipate more updates. Festival programming for cultural events, workshops, talks, wellness, and the kids’ zone is all yet to be revealed.
3-day passes are now available online, with limited passes available for prices to increase for the General Admission Tier 2 once Tier 1 is sold out.
