Located in Bedugul, the centre is the perfect stop off on a day trip to the Bedugul Highlands and Ulun Danu Beratan Temple.

One of the leading attractions at The Secret Garden Village is the guided herbalist and coffee-making tour.

The tour is led by agrotourism and edu-tourism specialists who can answer any and all questions guests have about the unique coffee-growing techniques in Bali and indigenous herbal and medicinal plants.

The Secret Garden Village is also super affordable, with entry tickets for adults sitting at just IDR 100,000. If you buy any product at the gift shop or within the complex, guests are given 50% cash back on their entry ticket.

A recent visitor to the center, Evi, told reporters, “Take a coffee-making and coffee philosophy tour, then a soap-making tour. It turns out there is a soap making class here too, but the package is different from the tour,  there is a piggy bank coloring class too.”

“There is a large space across the river suitable for events; perhaps, if the target is school children, you can hold one cosplay event in the back.”

The Secret Garden Village is on a mission to support the development of educational tourism in Bali.

They are on a mission “to ensure creativity and innovation of the young generation whilst facing the future – keeping a balanced conservation towards Indonesian heritage and culture.” The Secret Garden Village provides employment for dozens of young people in Bali and is pioneering the ‘edu-vacation’ concept in Tabanan Regency.

Workshops, interactive tours, and classes that tourists can choose from include soap-making classes, which incorporate the use of plenty of locally grown ingredients, as well as a fragrance bar where tourists can design their own fragrance based on their personality and preferences from a combination of 24 different scents.

In Djamoe Corner, guests can work with the in-house herbalist to create a natural remedy to take home based on specific symptoms or needs.

Irrespective of whether tourists sign up for a workshop or class, The Secret Garden Village is a wonderful spot for lunch, a light bite, or morning coffee on the drive up from the south coast to the Bedugul Highlands and Ulun Danu Beratan Temple.

The gift shop, which houses a wonderful range of locally produced souvenirs, many of which are not available elsewhere, is the ideal place to stock up on treats to take home for loved ones.

The Secret Garden Village Bali overlooks its own rice paddies which are perfectly framed by the modern yet traditional Balinese inspired archiecture of the buildings.

Coffee is provided by Black Eye Coffee & Roastery, one of the most popular and well-regarded coffee producers in Bali.

For those who really fall in love with the charm of the Secret Garden Village Bali, the complex is also home to The Secret Chamber, a wedding chapel and events space that is an idyllic location for a destination wedding on the Island of the Gods.

Tourists are becoming increasingly aware of the charms of the Bedugul Highlands. While Bali’s world famous coastline is the top lure to the island, followed by the cultural wonders of Ubud, the Bedugul Highlands, along with Munduk are starting to appear on the itineraries of more and more tourists. And rightly so!
