Tourists in Bali must start getting prepared for World Cucumber Day…yes it’s a thing!

The iconic gin brand Hendricks will be celebrating World Cucumber Day 2024 in style by using cucumber as currency for a very special happy hour in Bali and beyond. 

On Friday, 14th June, tourists and Bali based gin enthusiasts can exchange a cucumber for a G&T at their local watering hole in Bali.

Hendricks will be continuing their very own tradition of the Cucumber Currency Exchange, whereby gin lovers can swap a cucumber for a gin-based bev at selected outlets in Bali, Jakarta, and big cities across Indonesia. 

Hendricks Gin, which is infused with Bulgarian rose and deeply refreshing cucumber is a truly unique gin that hails from Scotland.

Fans of Hendricks will be pleased to know that the brand has partnered with over 150 outlets in Bali, Jakarta, Semarang, Bandung and Surabaya to celebrate World Cucumber Day on the 14th June. There will also be pop up events like the ‘Cucumber Concierge” and the DIY Cocktail Corner.

While there are dozens of outlets in Bali participating in the big event, the iconic Finns Beach Club will be hosting the biggest of the World Cucumber Day fun in Bali. Both the DIY Cocktail Corner and the Cucumber Concierge will be on offer for guests of Finns Beach Club to enjoy.

Those looking to be a part of the action may arrive armed with their cucumber currently for the grand Cucumber Hour, which will be held from 4 pm – 7 pm local time.

World Cucumber Day and Hendrick’s ‘Cucumber Hour’ will be available at only selected venues on Friday, 14th June 2024. Tourists wishing to take part in the big event must be at least 18 years of age and bring with them a valid ID. It should be noted that cucumbers are not accepted as a form of payment at these venues; they can only be exchanged once for a complimentary Hendrick’s Gin & Tonic.
