Bali Governor, I Wayan Koster has claimed that over 20,000 hotel rooms in Bali have been reserved by international visitors for November 2021.

During a press conference at Bali I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport on Thursday (14/10), Koster stated that as a response to the recent announcement in regards of the additional countries that are allowed to visit the island, a total of 20,000 hotel rooms in Bali were recently booked by international visitors from 11 different countries such as Norway, Hungary, China, Japan, India, South Korea, France, Spain, Sweden and Poland for vacation in November 2021.

“According to the report that I received yesterday, 11 out of 19 countries that are allowed onto the island have recently made around 20,000 hotel reservations for their holidays in November.” Koster said. He was also optimistic that Bali is expecting more visitors in the upcoming months as many potential visitors from the selected countries begin to pack their bags once they’re informed about this travel bubble arrangement.

Koster also urged the tourism businesses along with the provincial government to boost their promotion campaign in order to attract more visitors. However, he also reminds people to keep complying with all the government’s instructions in regards to the prevention protocols to prevent creating Covid-19 clusters while reactivating the international market in Bali.

“We hope this will give positive momentum in reviving our tourism industry, so our next development programs in the upcoming years can be implemented as planned.” Koster concluded.

Two of my in-laws are managers at 5-star resorts in Bali and they said this is not true. Maybe 20,000 phone calls complaining about their 5-day quarantine policy, which is extreme compared to most vacation destinations (Hawaii,Thailand,Malaysia,Tahiti 0 days). In Bali nearly 100% of the eligible population (excluding children) are vaccinated. What is the risk of people dying from vaccinated tourists? Has the world become so scared that people will cease living? A vaccinated adult has a higher risk of dying of heart disease compared to dying of Covid (CDC.gov #1 cause of death Heart Disease). Using the same logic we should outlaw hamburgers, fried foods and soda drinks from every country). Same goal: to save lives.

When will the UK be allowed to visit Bali? We have a good vaccination program and I personally have family in Bali that I haven’t seen for 2 years.

20000 rooms

Each person or couple arriving MUST stay in a hotel 5 nights.

So that's between 4000-8000 people arriving in November.

Between 133-266 people arriving per day...

Wow.

Those are just bookings not paid for yet from travellers hoping the restrictions will be lifted. If not 95% will be cancelled few days before.

@Remy CHARTOIS, probably all of them since no airline has a schedule direct to DPS in november at the moment, so people will have to quarantine in Jakarta.
