The Maritime and Investment Ministry Coordinator, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, had a final meeting with the Tourism Minister, the Health Minister, the Foreign Minister, and the Head of the National Disaster Management Agency. They finally decided to revoke travel restrictions for select countries.

Bali Governor I Wayan Koster confirmed that Bali would drop the quarantine policy for international travelers by March 7. “The zero quarantine policy will be implemented for travelers who plan to visit Indonesia through Bali,” Koster said on Friday.

The government will also resume the visa on arrival policy by March 7 for visitors from 23 select countries.

However, requirements will be implemented to prevent Covid-19 transmission from visitors.

The requirements include:

  • Conduct PCR test upon arrival and wait for results before accessing public areas
  • Visitors who test positive are required to undergo isolation at the appointed quarantine hotel
  • Covid-19 patients with comorbid diseases and senior citizens must undergo isolation at the appointed hospital
  • Insurance must cover the risk of contracting Covid-19 during their travel time
  • Travelers are required to conduct another PCR test on the third day before gainning access into the provinces outside Bali

Koster will inspect public facilities such as airports and hospitals before implementing the policy.

“We will ensure that all hospitals have enough ICU space for potential Covid-19 patients while we optimize the booster vaccination for our residents. We’ll also ensure that the airport is prepared to handle the influx of visitors,” Koster concluded.

Still too hard why bother, do you mean 28 days on arrival for Aussies no fee? Also tell me who is issuing Covid insurance, your joking. Just drop all conditions and get on with it. Good luck.

@Paul, this is the provincial government's way to keep backpackers and the rift raft out.
