A Senior Citizen Has Ended His Life In Bali

A 76-year-old senior citizen from Blahbatuh has decided to commit suicide for allegedly having a depression.

The Head of the Blahbatuh Police Department, AKP Yoga Widyatmoko confirmed that the man was found dead by his family at a warehouse that is located behind his house in Blahbatuh on Monday morning (29/6). “The victim was already dead when he was found by his granddaughter on Monday morning around 7:45am.” AKP Wdyatmoko said.

According to information from the victim’s wife, she felt strange when she didn’t see her husband in their house that morning. Becoming suspicious, she asked her granddaughter to help her find him. Shortly after, she decided to look for her grand dad around the outside of the house and was shocked when she saw he had hung himself in the warehouse.

After hearing her screaming, two of her aunts came running to help. His body was evacuated and relocated to his bedroom with the help from their neighbors. Prior to the incident, the man was being treated at Sanjiwani Hospital after getting surgery to treat his prostate cancer. “When he was being treated at the hospital, he was once angry and attempted to unplug his IV as he got tired of the medical treatment that he had due to his illness.” AKP Widyatmoko added. During the investigation, the officers did not find any wounds from physical assault.
