A Balinese businessman named Gusti Ngurah Anom (Ajik Krisna) was named as the newly appointed Head of the Indonesia Motor Association (IMI) for Bali on Saturday evening (19/2) in Benoa, Denpasar.

He then announced that he plans to develop a motocross racing circuit in Northern Bali by 2023 to support potential riders from Bali.

“I plan to start developing a mini circuit in Northern Bali by 2023, so all the automotive events and activities will be centered in that area in the future. I also want to develop a professional automotive event to create and encourage future athletes from the island,” Ajik Krisna said.

This plan has drawn significant attention and support from the provincial government as it will potentially revive Bali’s economy through sports tourism.

“Developing this competitive activity on the island may help Bali recover from its current economic crisis,” said Bali Vice Governor Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace).

Meanwhile, the Head of the Indonesian Sports Committee for Bali, I Ketut Suwandi, said that IMI has the potential to cultivate sports tourism that will generate revenue for Bali.

Go-Karts please. The only kart track in Bali is in Jimbaran and it's small and slow. Would be great to have longer and faster track with mid/pro-karts.
