Nusa Lembongan’s Beachfront Hotels Are In High Demand With Beach-Loving Tourists

Here at The Bali Sun, if you ever catch us daydreaming, chances are our minds have floated over to Nusa Lembongan.

This is one of our favourite spots in all of Indonesia, and honestly, it’s hard to haul ourselves back to Bali if we’ve retreated to the outlying islands.

It’s fair to say that anyone who is lucky enough to set foot on Nusa Lembongan falls quickly in love with this place. Warm and welcoming, naturally beautiful, and home to just the right amount of hotels, cafes, and touristy treats, we hope Nusa Lembongan never changes.

One of the great joys of staying in Nusa Lembongan is the wealth of beachfront and oceanfront accommodation properties to choose from. Whether you’re in the mood for a friendly boutique hostel, a secluded private villa, an authentic locally run guesthouse, or a full-service hotel, Nusa Lembongan has a place for everyone…and every budget.

With day trip travel to the Nusa Islands in high demand, here at The Bali Sun, we are all for encouraging tourists to slow down and stay a night or two…or three…or four…or more around these parts.

Of course, we’re taking a deep dive into all things Nusa Lembongan right now, but Nusa Penida and Nusa Ceningan are each equally deserving of an overnight stay on vacation in Bali.

Take the Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Spa, for example. Technically a 4-star hotel, but seriously giving 5-star vibes, the Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Spa offers guests incredible views of the ocean, all the way back over to the main island, Bali. On particularly clear days, it is possible to see sacred Mount Agung rise up from the horizon.

Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Spa has both suites and villas available, and guests have access to not one but three pools. One recent guest shared, “It was an absolutely incredible experience from beginning to end. The views are breathtaking, simply unreal.” High praise indeed.

Heading over to Nusa Lembongan’s famous Mushroom Bay, the top pick has to be family favourite Hai Tide Beach Resort. Offering direct access to one of Nusa Lembongan’s most swimmable beaches, this is a hotel that has guests returning year after year, and first-time guests extending their stays.

The ocean doesn’t get much more crisp azure blue than it does in Mushroom Bay, and with guests able to book shorefront beach huts with views of Mount Agung, the whole experience brings tears of gratitude to our eyes!

For those who have been holidaying in Bali for decades, you may already be familiar with Bali Hai Cruises. Founded in 1990, the business has expanded from boat trips and cruises, through to Bali Hai Diving Adventures, leading to the opening of Hai Tide Huts in 2000, which has now evolved into Hai Tide Beach Resort.

The resort is home to 24 traditional lumbung homes and three luxury villas surrounded by tropical gardens and opening out into Mushroom Bay.

Nusa Lembongan-bound adventures looking to have a more social stay, with a touch of luxury and the option to retreat and rest, should consider Ohana’s Beach Club & Resort. Bringing blissful beach lounge vibes to Jungut Batu Beach, this is the destination of choice for party lovers seeking a laid-back and boutique stay in Lembongan.

Guests have access to the bucket list Ohana’s beach club, a rooftop restaurant that offers some of the best oceanfront views around, a children’s playground, a billiards table, and a big screen for movie nights and live sports.
