One of Bali’s most famous water palaces has just announced that it will increase its tourist entry fees.
Tirta Gangga Water Palace and Royal Complex in Karangasem Regency increased its international tourists entry fees as of the 1st March 2025.

The entry fees to Tirta Gangga Water Palace also increase on the 1st January 2024, which is why the Head Manager of Tirta Gangga Park, Anak Agung Made Kosalya, explained to reporters that the increased in ticket prices has been through careful consideration.
The fee increase is due to a number of factors, least not that Tirta Gangga has recently opened a series of new attractions and facilities for visitors.
Kosalya told reporters “The ticket price increase that we have implemented since Saturday has a basis and has been through careful consideration, not because of arbitrariness.” He added “I have not found any tourists complaining about the increase in ticket prices. Because there are so many available facilities.”
He revealed that on average 1,600 tourists visit Tirta Gangga Water Palace and Gardens every day and that visitor numbers have remained stable despite the start of the low season for tourism in Bali. Kosalya added “Tourist visits to Tirta Gangga Park are still stable. Those who come are still dominated by foreign tourists.”
The fees have not only been increased for international tourists but for domestic tourists too. Ticket prices are also high for domestic tourists, with cheaper rates for visitors who can show a Bali ID card.
The updated fees for tourists to Tirta Gangga Water Palace, Temple, and Gardens for international adult tourists is now IDR 90,000, for international adults over the age of 65 tickets are now IDR 70,000, and for international children between ages 5-12, IDR 45,000.
Domestic tourist dees are IDR 45,000 for adult, and IDR 35,000 for Bali ID card holders, and IDR 25,000 for children ages 5-12 years.
In December 2024 Tirta Gangga celebrated the opening of the new Asta Gangga Museum. The heritage museum has quickly become one of the best museums in Bali and tourists are welcome to visit and explore the collection of Balinese artifacts, cultural objects, and historical gems.
The museum’s curation includes a range of really special Balinese artifacts, including the lion king’s songket cloth, a skordi cloth, and ten heirloom keris that are the legacy of the King of Karangasem.

Speaking at the launch event for the Asta Gangga Museum, Kosalya told reporters “Visitors now have more objects to take pictures or selfies. In addition, they can also learn about the history of the establishment of Tirta Gangga Park.”
The opening of the Asta Gangga Museum was also marked by the unveiling of the majestic new statue of the 14th King of Karangasem, Anak Agung Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem, who was also the creator and founder of Tirta Gangga Park, which opened in 1946.

King Anak Agung Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem was born in 1908 and passed away in 1948, just two years after his life’s work opened to the public. A beloved figure within Bali, there are hopes that in 2025 and beyond more tourists will visit Tirta Gangga and appreciate the late King’s work for themselves.
Kosalya explained “The Tirta Gangga Park tourist attraction has long been famous, but with the presence of the museum and the statue of the King of Karangasem, it will be an added value, and it is hoped that more visitors will come and have an impact on the surrounding objects.”
