Honeymoon Couples Name Bali As A Dream Destination In 2024

The travel platform TripAdvisor has named Bali as one of the top honeymoon destinations in the world in 2024.

The romantic charm of the island is everlasting when it comes to honeymoon couples who, as a travel demographic, consistently name the province as their dream destination. 

Bali has beaten trending honeymoon destinations like Dubai and Hoi An in Vietnam, even the Maldives in becoming the number one honeymoon destination in 2024.

With another award to hang in the trophy cabinet, Indonesia’s Minister for Tourism and Creative Economies is calling on hotels, resorts, travel and tour providers to do more to create packages that cater directly to honeymoon couples.

The ever-rising demand for wedding and honeymoon tourism in Bali is something that hotel managers are acutely aware of.

The Senior Manager of the newly renovated and upgraded Nandini Jungle Resort in Ubud spoke to reporters about the launch of the new-look hotel. 

Agus Salim revealed that the top requests of honeymoon couples when looking for their hotel or resort accommodation in Bali is to be surrounded by nature and have access to an intimate and private space away from the larger crowds.

Salim said, “Yes, our [hotel’s] concept is more like a honeymoon destination; we also receive a lot of wedding requests. Usually, every villa is equipped with a private pool, but we have repealed these with a private jacuzzi.”

Each suite at Nandini Jungle Resort now boasts its own private jacuzzi and incredible panoramic view of the stunning Payangan jungle,

Salim suggested that Bali’s affordability and access to luxury experiences help make it such an appealing destination for honeymoon couples.

He noted, “The price that our guests pay to stay here is not only to get breakfast, but also other activities such as cooking classes, cycling, morning walking, canang sari making, and yoga.”

In many luxury honeymoon resorts around the world, such activities are an added extra and come at a huge premium. This is not a pricing mode unique to Nandini Jungle Resort; honeymoon package deals and room rates, including activities, are commonplace across Bali’s top resorts and hotels.

Many honeymoon couples take a two-week vacation in Bali, and the vast majority of travelers will visit and stay in more than one location on the island.
