The Island of the Gods is home to some of the most magical hotels and resorts in the world. From the clifftop villas of Uluwatu to the rice paddies resorts of Ubud, there is incredible accommodation in every corner of the island.
Just as we thought it couldn’t get any better, a new and magical resort is about to open in the mesmerizing Besakih hills.
Tapa Agung View in Besakih is opening its reservations platform for pre-opening bookings.
The new resort is nestled in the Besakih hills in Menanga, Karangsaem, and offers truly magical views of the sacred Mount Agung.
The project has been two years in the making. The Director of Tapa Agung View, Suyanto Siman, told preparers that he first saw the land back in 2021 and instantly fell in love.
Siman told the media “I saw land in Bedugul and planned to build a villa. But it turned out to be quite far.”
He shared “The reason I like [this spot] is that the road to this location is not too difficult and there are rarely any traffic jams. Apart from that, the view is very beautiful.”
The CEO of Pramana Experience, who has partnered with the founders of Tapa Agung View, I Wayan Suarsa Pramana, shared the vision for the new resort.
He said “Our target market is couples or guests looking for peace. That’s why our tagline ‘Mountain Escape’ is a way to get away from routine, by looking at the view of Mount Agung.
Pramana added that guests will be “able to neutralize their burdens and stress and provide cool and fresh air, free of pollution and the water here is very good.”
Pramana Experience is the hospitality investment company behind some of Bali’s most highly regarded hotels and private villas.
Haijanto Lawoto, one of the investors in the new resort, shared his love for the land “I came here with my family several times. When I saw here, I said What do we want to do, what if we could run this together like [hotels] before the pandemic.”
Guests can make reservations directly with Tapa Agung View or use online hotel booking platforms like booking.com.
Room rates start at USD 34 per night, The hotel is offering guests the chance to indulge in true luxury and the utmost comfort for exceptionally reasonable room rates.
There is a range of room types available, the deluxe rooms all offer a view of sacred Mount Agung.
The in-house restaurant also offers incredible mountain views and the magical infinity pool, complete with sun deck, loungers, and shade umbrellas.
Guests at Tapa Agung View will be gifted with panoramic views of Mount Agung and the rolling green hills of Karangasem Regency. For many tourists, Karangasem Regency is not the first place they look for a getaway in Bali, yet the area has so much to offer.
Tapa Agung View Besakih is located just a short drive from some of the most beautiful and culturally significant landscapes and sites in Bali.
Penglipuran Village is a short 19km drive away and a visit to the cleanest village in the world is the perfect way to dive deeper into Balinese culture.
For guests interested in exploring more of Bali’s famous temples, the Tapa Agung View Besakih is the perfect place to stay if planning a visit to the iconic Pura Lempuyang Luhur, also known as the Gates of Heaven Temple.
While the temple itself sits just over an hour’s drive from the resort, the scenic road trip through the heart of east Bali is an adventure in its own right.
One of the top day trips in East Bali right now is a visit to Sidemen Village. The quaint agricultural village is emerging as a new off-the-beaten path destination.
