Two Foreign Nationals Face Imprisonment After Robbing Other Expats In Bali

Two foreign nationals potentially face 12 years of imprisonment after breaking into a villa and robbing other expats in Bali.

The Head of the Badung State Attorney, I Made Gde Bamaxs, confirmed that two expats identified as Nicola Disanto from Italy and Gregory Lee Simpson from England were arrested.

Both potentially face 12 years of imprisonment for breaking into a villa. They stole the registration books of 10 cars along with a large amount of cash from a couple in Seminyak in 2021.

Both suspects broke into a villa in Seminyak on November 11th 2021 at 3:00 am. An expat couple named Principe Nerini and Camilla Guadagnuolo were staying there at the time.

Once the suspects got inside the villa, they stole registration books, IDR 200 million, EUR 10,000, and 3,900 reais.

The victims filed a report to the police, and after a few days of investigation, both suspects were arrested.

“All the files have been handed over on Thursday (10/3). We will continue with the legal process and schedule the trial with Denpasar Courthouse. Both suspects potentially face the maximum charge of 12 years,” Bamaxs concluded.
