A Belarusian family has been deported by officers from Bali Law and Human Rights Ministry on Tuesday (26/1) after conducting business in Bali without the appropriate visa.
The married couple, Siarhei Bautrukevich (29) and Volha Kobets (29) were deported along with their two children, aged 1 and 4. The reason for their deportation was that they created a business of bath products in Bali without the appropriate business visa.
According to a statement from the Head of Bali Law and Human Rights Ministry, Jamaruli Manihuruk, the couple violated the rules of their temporary permit to stay in Bali.
Immigration officers began investigation after receiving reports regarding business activity from villagers in Amed, Karangasem.
“According to our investigation at the location, we concluded that the couple had been producing and promoting their bathing products such as soap, shampoo and toothpaste in Amed, Karangasem” said Jamaruli on Wednesday (27/1). The couple violated Indonesian immigration rules and will not be able to return to Indonesia for six months.
Once they were detained by officers, Bautrukevich and Kobets admitted that they had been opening the business since August 2020, and began promoting on social media in September 2020. They were transported to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta before taking the next flight to Belarus using Turkish Airlines TK-57.
