It’s the peak travel season in Bali, and there are three incredible cultural festivals happening on the island this month that tourists simply must add to their itineraries.
As the Bali Arts Festival picks up speed in Denpasar, the island is also about to celebrate the Lovina Festival and Just Dance It Out 2025.

From the 10th – 17th July 2025, Bali will welcome the Just Dance It Out festival to Kuta. The international street dance festival will bring together dancers, DJs, MCs, and judges from all around the world for a jam-packed week celebrating street dance culture, energy, and global community.
The festival will be hosted at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel in the heart of Kuta. Just Dance Now organisers explain, “Street Dance originated in the 1920s and gained momentum in the 1970s and 1980s in New York, USA, emerging as a popular trend. In Indonesia, its rise as a trend began in the 1990s, attracting a growing number of enthusiasts, particularly among the youth.”
Calling for as many dance lovers as possible to come and take part in the event, the Just Dance Now team adds, “Street dance’s appeal lies in its freedom from strict forms, allowing dancers to move and express themselves in sync with the music’s rhythm. It thrives on improvisation and instinct, making it a dynamic and vibrant dance style.”
Tickets are available online now, with a range of options available for attendees. Attendance-only entry tickets start at IDR 800,000, with all-inclusive packages offering access to all workshops and dance classes throughout the event priced at IDR 15,640,000 and plenty more options in between.
It is not only the Just Dance It Out Festival that is coming to Bali this month. Heading to the north of the province, Buleleng Regency is preparing to celebrate the opening of the annual Lovina Festival.
Lovina Festival, also known as LovFest, will be held from 24th – 27th July and in 2205 is showcasing the theme of The Magic of Lovina. The event is both a celebration of North Bali culture and an invitation for tourists from around the world to discover more about what this region has to offer.
Speaking to reporters, the Head of Tourism Office in Buleleng, Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, explained, “We want to highlight the dolphin attractions, the traditional art of Sapi Gerumbungan, to the sunset panorama that is the mainstay of Buleleng.”
One of the highlights of the Lovina Festival will be the performance of the Balinese Panyembrama Dance, which will feature at least 500 dancers from eight coastal villages in Buleleng Regency.
There are even rumours that organisers are working on forming a dance group featuring expats and long-staying foreigners in Bali. Askara shared, “This festival is not just a spectacle, but a vehicle for education and community empowerment.”

Lovina’s marine heritage will be front and centre during LovFest, and the event will feature fishing competitions aboard traditional sailboats involving local fishermen in partnership with local hotels.
Askara added, “Lovina is like barracuda and other fish that anglers love. Sailboats will look charming with their respective hotel branding.”

Back down in Denpasar, the events of the world-renowned Bali Arts Festival continue. The huge celebration of Balinese and Indonesian cultural heritage kicked off on the 21st June, with the event happening throughout Bali until 19th July.
The festival event calendar can be found here. The Bali Arts Festival is a series of free events, and tourists are welcome to attend performances, exhibitions, and workshops without booking or reservations. Most festival events are hosted at or around the Taman Werdhi Budaya Art Centre in Denpasar.

Tourists visiting Ulun Danu Beratan Temple in Bedugul in July and August are also able to watch the incredible daily performances of the Gebogan Parade. The performance will be hosted weekdays at Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, and on weekends at the neighbouring Blooms Garden. Access to the parade is included in the entry ticket to both venues.
